Hello Owners, Sponsors, Players & Friends,

We had a great first month of tournament play in both leagues with lots of competitive polo. Congratulations to Hanalei Bay and Thermal for their victories in the World Gym Tournament (12 & 6 Goal respectively). Congratulations to Hanalei Bay & Gypsy for winning the Wendell Kerley Memorial (12 & 6 Goal respectively) and to Hanalei Bay for the Adeptus Challenge & Blazers for winning the Tony Veen Memorial. For those that didn’t take first place, good luck in the coming tournaments. The next tournament coming up is the Carlton & Keleen Beal Cup, that will be played from February 15th-24th for the 4-6 Goal League and the 10-12 Goal League.

Thank you for your help and understanding with maintaining the fields. We continue to have 3 workers out sanding divots four times a week, we fertilized two weeks ago, and deep-tined fields 5 through 8.

We have a new electrical timer that will be mounted on a trailer and used for tournament games, so a big ‘thank you’ goes out to those who donated money for everyone’s benefit.

Thank you to Geoff Palmer and Antelope for the party they put on at the Cantina – it was great to get everyone together for some fun off the field! We’re looking forward to more parties like that this season, so if you’re interested in sponsoring a party please let the Polo Office know so we can facilitate the process.

The Arty Cameron Memorial Tournament for Pee-Wee & Junior polo players took place last weekend and we had 25 kids participate in 3 flights! It was great to see the kids enjoying themselves and also the parents and supporters cheering every on and watching some fierce, edge-of-your-seat polo!

We also have the Women’s Tournament & the Seniors Tournament coming up February 28th-March 3rd. You can sign up a team, or as an individual and then we’ll make teams.

We’re all looking forward to the Skins Tournament & the Governor’s Cup in March. We hope to get 6 teams signed up for the Skins which would mean we could start the tournament Friday, March 8th, so please sign up your teams at the Polo Office as soon as possible.

Feel free to come see us in the Polo Office with any questions or concerns, or just to say ‘hi’.

See you on the field,

Graham
