Katie Graham and her Barrossa polo team came away with a deserved 7 - 6 win in Sunday's USPA WCT Qualifier over the Jeff Kazmark sponsored Estancia Venterron - but only with some last second heroics. After an extremely slow start that saw Barrossa - having to give up a women's handicap award of one - down by four goals to the Estancia Venterron quartet with less than four minutes gone in the first chukker, scramble back to grab one and trail by three after the first. The recovery continued in the second period as Barrossa scored three times to none for Estancia Venterron and the count was tied at four going to the half.Estancia Venterron grabbed a pair in the third to lead by two until Barrossa scored indirectly off a penalty four to come back again - this time to within one at the end of three chukkers. In the fourth, Barrossa drew even - for the second time - about half-way through and it appeared that overtime might be necessary to decide a winner. However, in the final 30 seconds, Dayelle Fargey grabbed a loose ball thirty yards out and scored to give Graham and Co. the victory. For the winners, Fargey and Abby Riggs scored three goals and Isabella Wolf counted one.For Estancia Venterron, Malia McCoy struck three times with Jessica Bailey and Cybele Jordan counting one each. The handicap award completed the total.Wolf was selected as the MVP and Pie, owned and played by Fargey (fourth chukker), was chosen as the Best Playing Pony.2014 USPA WCT QualifierBarrossa 16 - Katie Graham, Dayelle Fargey 6, Abby Riggs 5, Isabella Wolf 5.Estancia Venterron 15 - Kate Weber 4, Jessica Bailey 4, Malia McCoy 4, Cybele Jordan 3.Tony Gregg
